EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Guest: Jefferson Fish, PhD, Professor Emeritus, former Chair, former Director of Clinical Psychology, Department of Psychology, St. John's University, New York City, author, 'The Myth of Race', discusses:

--the idea that a person's race is fixed at birth (like caste in India)--the book shows how people can change their race

--the idea that the human species has biological races--this is an 18th century idea that science has shown to be false for over a half-century

--the idea that the word "race" has the same meaning in different cultures--actually, language differences prevent us from recognizing how different the concept can be. For example, a study in northeastern Brazil asked people what color they are and got 134 different answers!

Elie Corpus, Religion News Analyst and Founder of Elie's Spiritual Treasures

Pope Francis has won the heart of many, but will he be able to reform the Vatican?

Elie Corpus discuss this by answering the following questions:
•What does reforming the Vatican entail?
•What decision will the Pope have to make?
•Who will he choose as the new secretary of state? Why is this important?
• What changes should he make?
•What should believers expect from the Vatican's reformation?
